Windfall! That is the best way to describe what Shashank Shekhar, a 24-year-old resident of Delhi, is going through right now. And all because he bought the OnePlus 6T in a recent promotional campaign called OnePlus Lucky Star, run jointly by Amazon India and OnePlus. Instead of just getting his phone, however, Shekhar is also getting almost everything that he may need at the moment. Like everything!
To be precise, along with the OnePlus 6T Shekhar is getting 600 additional free gifts, including furniture, appliances, other gadgets, and fashion accessories. So, essentially because the moment he bought the OnePlus 6T turned out to be a lucky moment for him, Shekhar is also getting a refrigerator, a laptop, kitchen items, home decor items, and fashion accessories. Basically, you can say that Shekhar is getting everything and also the kitchen sink.
So many are the free gifts that Amazon and OnePlus hired a mini truck to deliver the goods to Shashank. The OnePlus 6T, though, he got from OnePlus India general manager Vikas Agarwal, who travelled to Delhi to personally deliver it to Shekhar. Each gift item has a value of between Rs 100 and Rs 80,000. In total, Shekhar is getting goods worth lakhs of rupees.
Amazon India and OnePlus had announced the unique OnePlus Lucky Star campaign last week to celebrate the fourth anniversary of their partnership.

For OnePlus and Amazon India, the four year partnership has been a big success. While Amazon has got the business from the sizeable number of OnePlus fans in India, the easy availability of the OnePlus phones has made the company the leader in the premium smartphone segment in India. According to market research firms, OnePlus has been the top smartphone brand in the premium market in India ahead of Samsung and Apple for the last three quarters.
OnePlus is now gearing up to launch two new phones. One is coming within days from now on December 12 when the company launches the special variant of OnePlus 6T, likely to be called OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. This phone may come with 10GB RAM and a new colour theme, likely to be red or orange. The second phone, which should come in the second half of 2019, will be the next OnePlus flagship phone using Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and with support for 5G connectivity. This was announced by OnePlus CEO Pete Lau at Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii on Thursday in a chat.
